Noor Fares | YOLKE Girl
Blossom Silk Lounge Suit
Noor Fares
The story starts with a young Lebanese girl born and raised in Paris. A little girl mesmerised by the "beautiful and unexpected” begins the journey of London based jewellery designer Noor Fares. She first caught our eye when pictures of her wedding extravaganza circulated the media and has been our girl crush since. We caught up with Noor in her London treasure trove of a home.

What inspires your jewellery?
I am always inspired whilst travelling through discovering different cultures, their beliefs and the landscape of the country. My recent collection Akasha draws inspiration from India and Burma from the ancient sacred symbols that are engrained within the countries, such as the Sri Yantra, Flower of Life, Navratna and Inle amulet from the Padaung tribe in Burma.
Do you have one most treasured piece?
I have my grandmother's engagement ring that is very special to me.
For someone new to the brand, how would you sum up your style?
I would describe it as playful, geometric and timeless.
When designing a collection what is the starting point?
I start with researching a particular topic of interest and then archive images surrounding it that later turn into a mood board.
Who is your style icon?
My mother.
Do you design with a particular woman in mind?
I design for women who have a spontaneous nature and are drawn to design.
Is there anyone you would love to see in your designs?
I would love to see Emma Thompson in my designs.
Your home is a colourful treasure trove. Do you have a favourite piece of furniture or art?
I have a beautiful Piet Hein Eek dining table with matching chairs that I adore.
You are a genuine loungewear fan which is great! Do you have a favourite piece from the collection?
The Blossom Tomato Silk Lounge Suit is beautiful! I love to wear them with Birkenstocks and lots of accessories.
And lastly what do you sleep in?
Silk pyjamas in the winter and cotton in the summer.
Thank you, Noor!
